The Manastoh name was selected to honor the original Native American reference for Manchester before it was renamed by English settlers. The fall line at Richmond and Manchester was an important line of demarcation between the Monacan tribe of Sioux speaking Indians to the west and Powhatan’s confederacy comprised of Algonquian Indians to the East. Manastoh was the name the various tribes used for the area that we today refer to as Manchester.
Plans for the brewery include a first floor tasting room that will serve a variety of different beer styles piped from tank to tap and brewed on site. The second floor will contain an upper Mezzanine overlooking the tasting room featuring private dining and a full service kitchen.
Our menu, designed by Dan Scherotter, pays homage to Virginia’s native game, locally sourced vegetables, grains, meats and fish, and includes a cocktail and wine program.
Manastoh will feature a small deck on our 3rd floor and a full size deck for the brewpub that will offer a bar menu and provide views of the city skyline on the 6th floor.
